Industry solution
Signage outlines and illuminated letters using neon flex and COB
A sign maker outlines letters and shopfront frames and needs a bendable, thin line that survives wind and rain on an external fascia.
What usually goes wrong here
- Letter outlines need tight bends without a break in the line
- External fascia gets sun, rain and wind vibration
- Signage replacement cycles are short — serviceability matters
- Colour consistency between letters of the same sign
Send us two things
- Run length per zone and the depth of the cove or reveal
- Mounting surface, viewing distance and target CCT
Reply includes strip spec, driver sizing and feed points.

Selection rules
These are the four decisions that decide whether the site accepts the installation.
| Neon flex 8-10 mm for readable letter outlines; it bends, COB does not | |
|---|---|
| IP65 sleeve + silicone end cap for external fascias | |
| One production batch for the whole sign — mixed bins rewrite the logo | |
| Short bend radius spec from the factory, then template the letters |
Installation notes
Support every 150-200 mm on external signs; wind vibration breaks the solder joints on unsupported spans. Use weather-grade silicone, not ethyl acetate tape.
Send the letter drawing or frame size — we return the per-letter metre count and bend radius.
We answer with a line-by-line spec you can forward to your installer without re-translating it.
