Troubleshooting

Why don't all my RGB / RGBW strips show the same colour?

Colour mismatch between reels is a binning issue, not a controller issue. Order one production batch and you get one answer.

What we need to confirm it

  • CCT? CRI? All reels from one order? Controller model?

Diagnosis

Cause, then fix

Different production batches

LED bins vary. Reels from two batches can differ by one bin — invisible in a showroom, obvious in a 200 m hotel corridor.

Fix: Order all project reels in a single production batch and lock the CCT/CRI in the PO.

Layered / adjacent strips with different CRI

Mixing Ra80 with Ra90 side by side is readable in 30 seconds on site.

Fix: Specify one CRI for the whole project.

Controller output offset

Some controllers need a calibration step; without it, channels differ slightly between segments.

Fix: Set all segments to the same address, then compare against a reference reel saved as a sample.

Voltage drop making colours differ

Dimmer LEDs at the far end shift hue on colour-changing strips.

Fix: Fix the voltage drop first — colour consistency follows power consistency.
